About the course

The apprenticeship includes a range of tutorial workshops alongside monthly one-to-one visits from a dedicated Development Coach. Learners will also be required to present a work-based project they have led as part of the programme. This qualification is designed for individuals working in childcare who wish to further their careers and move into senior roles within the sector. Candidates should have experience working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and should be key workers responsible for observing and assessing children.

Entry Requirements

To undertake this programme, learners must be working in a childcare setting in a key worker role. They must hold five GCSEs (grades A* – C / 9-4), achieve Level 2 in English and Maths during the initial assessment, or already hold Functional Skill Level 2 in Maths and English.

Qualification

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator)
  • Qualification in Paediatric First Aid

This qualification allows learners to progress to more senior management roles within the childcare sector, with the potential to undertake further management training.
