About the course

This apprenticeship includes a range of tutorial workshops along with monthly one-to-one visits from a dedicated Development Coach. Learners will also be required to present a work-based project they have led as part of the programme. This course is ideal for professionals who manage teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals as part of their organisation’s strategy. It is designed to provide those working in an organisation with the leadership and management knowledge and skills required to progress in their career.

Entry Requirements

To undertake this programme, learners must be practising or aspiring middle managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands. They must hold five GCSEs (grades A* – C / 9-4) or achieve Level 2 in English and Maths during the initial assessment.

Learners will achieve the apprenticeship standard for Operations or Departmental Manager (Level 5).

  • ILM Level 6 Award in Management
  • Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (England only)
  • ILM Level 7 qualifications in Management and Leadership
