What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a form of work-based learning – combining skills training and practical experience whilst working with a local employer.Â

Access to our team of designated Learner Support Officers, there to support you with whatever you need.
What support would I get?
You’ll have a designated Development Coach throughout your apprenticeship.
You will have regular reviews with this coach throughout your course. You will also be supported by a Manager in your workplace. Â
If you have any concerns about your studies, your workplace or anything else during your time with us, you can get in touch with our designated Safeguarding and Learner Support team.
Entry requirements
The Learning Foundry offer a wide range of apprenticeships for people with all levels of experience. Â
All of our apprenticeships are for people 16+.Â
Our Level 2 apprenticeships have no formal entry requirements.Â
For our Level 3 Apprenticeships, learners should have either:Â
- Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above.
- Functional Skills Maths and English Grade 1 or above.Â
- Achieve Grade 1 or above in their Initial Assessments.Â
If you don’t possess these qualifications but are interested in one of our Level 3 apprenticeships you can fast track your way there with one of our study programmes – a 12 week programme to give you all the basics you’ll need, as well as support with your Maths and English. Â

We hold open days at our core campus throughout the year. Open days are a great way for you to come and see what we do for yourself. Â
FAQ
I can’t afford to get into campus or to my placement – what do I do?
We offer travel passes for buses and trains for people attending our programmes. Just speak to one of our team during your enrolment and we can get this sorted for you.Â
I have a child and need support with childcare – what do I do?

I never liked school or college. Will I get the support I need?
The Learning Foundry is not like school or college. We have three designated Learner Support Officers to support every one of our learners if and when they need it.
