Anti-social behaviour, or ASB, is behaviour that causes ongoing nuisance, alarm or distress to other people.
If you are experiencing or have witnessed ASB., please tell us. We will listen to you, look at what has happened and explain how we can help.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or a crime is happening, call the police on 999. For any other non-emergencies, please always call 101 instead.

Sometimes, a problem can be sorted out by having a calm conversation with your neighbour. Only do this if you feel safe and comfortable.

We understand that reporting ASB can feel difficult. We will handle the information you give us sensitively and only share information when it is necessary and appropriate to do so.
We do need your contact details when you make a report. This is because we may need to speak to you to understand what has happened and keep you updated.

After an ASB complaint has been lodged the following process happens.

This could include speaking to other residents, witnesses, the police, the council or other organisations.

What happens next will depend on the circumstances and the evidence available.
This could include support, mediation, written agreements, warnings or legal action in serious or ongoing cases.
We may also work with the police, local authority or other organisations.
We will speak to you before closing your case and explain the outcome.
Sometimes we may not be able to take further action. For example, there may not be enough evidence, or the behaviour may not meet the level needed for formal action.
