The Nomination Period

Most Shared Ownership homes have a nomination period. This gives the housing provider an opportunity to find an eligible Shared Ownership buyer before the property is marketed to the public. If you’re a Redwing Shared Owner, we’ll manage this process for you. If another organisation owns the freehold, we’ll work alongside them and keep you informed every step of the way.

The next step is understanding what your home is worth. We’ll arrange an independent valuation and explain the next steps, as well as any fees or requirements set out in your lease before your property goes to market.
